GE MONOGRAM SAFETY RECALL

GE Monogram has announced a voluntary recall of GE Monogram Professional Gas Rangetops operating on propane, as well as natural gas rangetops modified to operate on propage, which were manufactured between May 2008 and June 2011.

Where to find serial numbers on GE Monogram Rangetops

If your Rangetop is included in the recall, you should immediately stop using the product, turn off the gass supply to the product and contact GE to schedule your free repair.

This voluntary recall is due to a potential for a delayed ignition or explosion when one of the gas control knobs is mistakenly left in position between OFF and LITE.

This voluntary recall is in effect due to a potential for a delayed ignition or explosion caused by inadvertently leaving a control knob in a position between OFF and LITE.

If your Rangetop is included in the recall, you should immediately cease use of the product and turn off the product’s gas supply.

Have there been any injuries or damage associated with this product?
There have been 6 reported instances of an explosion associated with this product which have resulted in property damage. No fire damage or injuries have been reported.
