The area where the microwave oven door and frame touch when closed should be kept clean. When using mild, nonabrasive soaps and detergents, rinse with clean water and dry with soft, lint-free cloth. When using glass cleaner and paper towels or a nonabrasive plastic scrubbing pad, apply glass cleaner to the towel, not directly to the surface.
This is normal and occurs when the power supply switches the magnetron on and off.
Firmly close the door.
Try to heat one cup (250 ml) of cold water for two minutes at 100% cooking power. If water does not heat, please call for service.
The Child Lock shuts down the control panel pads to prevent unintended use of the microwave oven. When the control is locked, only the Vent Fan and Light pads will function.
For oven cavity:
Do not use soap-filled scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, steel-wool pads, gritty washcloths or some recycled paper towels. Damage may occur. On stainless-steel models, rub in direction of grain to avoid damage. The area where the oven door and frame touch when closed should be kept clean.
For average soil:
Mild, nonabrasive soaps and detergents: Rinse with clean water and dry with soft, lint-free cloth.
For heavy soil:
Mild, nonabrasive soaps and detergents: Heat one cup (250 ml) of water for two to five minutes in oven. Steam will soften soil. Rinse with clean water and dry with soft, lint-free cloth.
For odors:
Lemon juice or vinegar: Heat one cup (250 ml) of water with one tablespoon (15 ml) of either lemon juice or vinegar for two to five minutes in oven.
Wash surfaces with warm, soapy water using liquid detergent or an all-purpose cleaner and a nonabrasive sponge. Always rub evenly in the direction of the grain.
Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Use a clean, dry towel to polish the surface in the direction of the grain until it shines.
IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to the finish, do not use soap-filled scouring pads, abrasive or harsh cleaners, any cleaning product containing chlorine bleach, steel-wool pads, gritty wash cloths or certain paper towels.
